All payments to Nour El Nil are non-refundable under any circumstances. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is due within 14 days of your confirmation (50% for high season bookings) and the non-refundable balance payment is due at least 60 days in advance of your sail date.
If you cancel more than 60 days in advance of your sail date, you are entitled to move/reschedule your booking to a new date. Any re-bookings will be at the same rate of the original booking if (a) the new travel date is within 12 months of the original date and (b) the new week is in the same price category (e.g. Regular Season vs High Season prices). Re-bookings for dates more than 12 months from the original sail date are subject to new/updated rates.
Any cancellations made within 60 days of your sail date may be subject to forfeiture of your payment (with no ability to rebook), depending on circumstances. Management will consider exceptions in the event that we believe we can backfill your booking within the 60 days. Management will take into consideration any unforeseeable circumstances, of course, as our goal is certainly to have you take advantage of the trip if at all possible.
Our cancellation policy was put in place following the Arab Spring, during which tourism dropped to zero, in order to ensure that we are able to take care of our staff during difficult times when there is no income for the business. Whereas other businesses have historically been forced to fire employees during these times, leaving them without income to support their families, we have designed our policies to both (1) sustain our crew and their income and (2) ensure that our guests are also able to take advantage of a trip at a future date if they are forced to cancel due to circumstances.
Due to global conditions and concern around health and safety, it is important that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance that will guard your non-refundable payments in the event that you should decide to cancel at a future date without the ability to rebook the trip.
